#TAKEUSWITHYOU: Top 5 Things To Do in Bermuda by Alivia Latimer

Greetings! I’m Alivia Latimer (@alivialatimer), a travel + lifestyle photographer based in Portland, OR. I recently had the opportunity to work with Albion Fit on my birthday trip to Bermuda which I was so excited about! I love that Albion’s swimsuits, opens in a new tab are all incredibly adorable, yet modest—all I could ever need for summer vacay!

This wasn’t my first time in Bermuda, as I have a ton of relatives on the island and have visited on previous family vacations. However, this was my first time going with just a friend and a camera; and I’m not over-exaggerating when I say that we explored and took photos ALL day everyday. Seriously, never a dull moment on this island as there is so much to do and see! With that being said, here are my top five must see places on the island of Bermuda!

1. Horseshoe Bay Beach

Every time I am in Bermuda, I always find myself spending an entire day at Horseshoe Bay (hey, that rhymes! :P). While this is one of the more popular beaches on the island, it is the most iconic, in my opinion. From the crystal clear water to the spongy pink sand, and up to the rocky cliffs above, there is endless amounts of beauty to take in here. Also quick tip, if you practically want the beach to yourself, go on a day when there are no cruise ships docked on the island. #NoTourists!

2. Princess Beach Club

The Princess Beach Club is a private beach oasis for those staying at the Hamilton Princess Hotel, or you can purchase a day pass (which is what we did!). Located on the south shore of the Island, this was easily one of my favorite spots from the whole trip! There’s tons of hammocks, paddle boards, and fun floaties to lounge around on, all whilst in a private little cove. If you want a relaxing beach day, the Princess Beach Club is the place to be!

3. Rum Bum Beach Bar

Ok, if you’re looking for a good smoothie, this is the place! Throughout the entirety of the trip, I think we got smoothies here on three separate occasions. Sooo good and sooo cheap too, my favorite kind! :-P Ask for a mixture of Pina Colada and Mango—it’s amazing! This little snack shack is located on the walk down to Horseshoe Bay Beach, so it’s definitely a must if you’re in the area!

4. Blue Hole

Easily one of the coolest places I’ve ever been, Blue Hole is a little hidden gem on the East side of the island. This was my first time cliffjumping and even though I was a little scared, I’m so glad I did it! Such an enlightening experience and I would definitely recommend taking a little trip out to this magical wonderland!

5. Sommer Set / West Side

One of our favorite things to do on this trip was just grab our cameras, step outside, and walk around! Since we were staying on the West side of the island which isn’t as touristy, we really got to experience things like a local! No matter you're staying or where you are, always make time to explore and appreciate what’s around you. You never know what you might discover!
