Arroyo Dress, Dune

I’m a size 14/16, so I ordered an XL. The dress is very roomy everywhere, but too tight in the bust. It flattens my breasts. As someone with a proportionate, hour glass XL figure, this doesn’t work. It’s better for pear-shaped women. Other than that, it’s a beautiful, quality dress and I am in the process of losing weight, so perhaps it will fit better in a couple of weeks.

I didn’t realize this dress had no pockets when I ordered it. It’s so full in the skirt that I assumed it would have pockets. I decided to try it anyway and loved it. I took it to the alterations shop and got pockets added at the seam. Now it’s perfect. I couldn’t decide between small and medium. I’m almost 5’4 and weigh 134 lbs. My waist is thick and I’m bigger on the bottom than the top. I got the medium and it’s perfect. Not tight anywhere and very comfortable. Small probably would have worked, but I didn’t want it to pull on the top since it is fitted.
