Position Overview:

Albion Fit is seeking a talented Apparel Designer to join our team. This role will focus on designing women’s lifestyle wear, including dresses, travel and workwear, fitness apparel, and outdoor clothing. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and creative skills, a deep understanding of fabrics, and the ability to execute designs from concept to production.

Design Development:

• Conceptualize and sketch innovative silhouettes aligned with Albion Fit’s brand aesthetic.
• Develop seasonal collections across lifestyle, fitness, and outdoor apparel categories.
• Collaborate with the creative team to balance trend-setting designs with timeless appeal.

Technical Skills:

• Create detailed tech packs with precise specifications for manufacturing.
• Partner with pattern makers and production teams to ensure accurate fit and construction.
• Oversee garment fittings and adjust designs for performance and comfort.

Material Expertise:

• Source and select fabrics, trims, and finishes that enhance both style and functionality.
• Maintain knowledge of sustainable and high-performance materials suitable for lifestyle and activewear.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with marketing, production, and sales teams to align designs with market needs and trends.
• Participate in photoshoots and assist in styling when needed.

Travel Potential:

• Opportunity to travel for fabric sourcing, production oversight, and market research.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in apparel design, with a focus on women’s lifestyle, fitness, or outdoor wear.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and technical design software.
• Strong sketching and conceptual design abilities.
• Experience with knits, wovens, and high-performance materials.
• Excellent understanding of technical design and production processes.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
