Need a relaxing day to unwind from all the touristy spots? Hire a private boat to pick you up from a spot off the coast and take you on a tour around the Island of Capri. There are so many fun places to stop and swim or even take a chance to leave the boat and grab a bite to eat!
Although crowded and surrounded by steps, Positano is one of our favorite cities on the Amalfi coast. Spend time wandering up and down the city or take a break for a suntanning session on the beach. With chairs and umbrellas for rent it was an easy decision for us (but beware, these beaches are pebbly so we recommend some footwear to get you in the water!)
When in Rome.... or at least Italy, food is a MUST! Lemons are grown in abundance on the Amalfi coast and pizza is never far away. When visiting Atrani we found the best pizza right off the beach and we may have stopped there everyday of our trip!
A unique idea is to rent a vintage car, or vespa, to tour the coastline. Although the streets are tight it makes getting around a lot easier than waiting for one of the giant tour buses to take you from spot to spot. Not to mention the cute photos you can take!
Another favorite spot was Furore. The town itself is located up on a hill (with GORGEOUS views) but the Fiordo is a beautiful hidden beach located right under the main road. Last we heard there was some construction being done on the stairs down to the beach, but we were lucky enough to visit a few months back and had the place all to ourselves!
