Welcome to the beautiful home of many staycations, family vacations, and bachelorette parties; Scottsdale, AZ. Scottsdale is the perfect place to visit all year round because with each change of season, Scottsdale has something for you. From just 15 minutes from the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, you can travel to so many amazing sites and have endless opportunities to entertain people of all ages. From the phenomenal shopping scene to the vibing nightlife, you can eat your way through so many tasty dishes that are local to Scottsdale, Arizona.
WHERE TO EAT:
Culinary Dropout has a few locations throughout the sunny state of Arizona but the best and my most favorite location is located at the Scottsdale Quarter. Culinary Dropout caters to people of all ages and they keep up with what’s hot, by keeping the menus fresh. Speaking of fresh, all of their beverages, meats, dips, etc. are all made in house and are absolutely divine. For dinner, drinks, or a quick meal with friends, Culinary Dropout is the way to go. My go to is their delicious BBQ Pork Belly Nachos which pairs beautifully with a virgin mojito!
Scottsdale is home to several spring training games for the MLB teams since we have the perfect weather for the teams to warm up. We are very lucky to have a team for every major league sport in the state, and if you are visiting Scottsdale, you are 10 minutes away from our NBA team, the Phoenix Suns, and our MLB team, the Arizona Diamondbacks. The locals in Scottsdale find every opportunity to bring their friends and families to these games to support their home teams.
One of the best things to do in Scottsdale, AZ is to go shopping. Scottsdale is home to three amazing shopping malls including: Scottsdale Fashion Square, Kierland Commons, and the Scottsdale Quarter which is the home to our Arizona Albion Fit location. Each of these shopping centers include amazing choices to accommodate the whole family, or if you just want to splurge on the next greatest designer handbag. The Scottsdale Quarter also holds one of the most popular splash pads, as well as several family restaurants that are ideal for the most perfect Saturday.
Old Town Scottsdale is a must-see and must-do if you are traveling. There are so many fabulous restaurants, bars/night clubs, shops, recreation activities, etc. Old Town caters to all ages and groups of people. It’s a popular spot for nightlife in the Scottsdale area.
WHERE TO STAY:
The Scott Resort is a Scottsdale fave! Whether you are local, planning a staycation or a bachelorette party; or traveling from another area, the Scott Resort and Spa is a must. The pools are perfect temperature, even on a sunny Arizona day; and the restaurants located within the hotels are absolutely delish! The service here is also amazing, which is why us locals continue to keep coming back.
HIKING TRAILS:
Now I wouldn’t recommend hiking in the summertime as it can be extremely hot; however, Scottsdale is close to several, beautiful hiking trails. Camelback, Piestewa Peak, and Papago Park are among the most popular. The best one is Piestewa Peak if you are looking for a more moderate hike, with beautiful views of the beautiful valley.
There are so many things to do within the city that it has been added to the best places to travel, alongside Las Vegas and Nashville. If you are brave enough to tough out the heat and lay out the pool, summer is the best time to travel because rates are nearly 50% cheaper than our desired season from October-May. Regardless, there is so much to do year round that it is the perfect place to call home and while you are traveling to Scottsdale, make sure you stop by our very own Albion Fit at the Scottsdale Quarter!
