The AllBlack Groove Long Sleeve Rash Guard is comfortable, light weight and most importantly provides great coverage from the sun. I was concerned that I would be too warm in black, but the first time out was pleasantly comfortable. Thankful that the rash guard is not skin tight and has some room in it. Thank you for offering modest apparel that protects skin too.
I’m giving it a five based on what I know right now. I love the fit. It is tight and does not cut under the arms into my armpits. The sleeves are long enough that they go over my wrists. One thing I don’t like is that I can’t zip it on my own (zipper high on back) because there isn’t a string or bungy on the zipper. I’m going to add my own if I can. It is long enough (I’m long waisted but still very petite) that I don’t feel any of my stomach shows even when I raise my arms. I love that it is actually black and not a faded black or has a logo on it, and it is smooth and glossy rather than dull like an exercise top. The material is thin enough that I know I can still wear it when the sun is at its peak, and it is thick enough that it does not show my top from underneath; however, I have not tested it out in the water or at the beach. I have been searching for a rash guard for quite sometime, and I chose this one based on company reviews and the style and color. Most rash guards look like they are for surfers with logos and block colors, or they have odd floral patterns which won’t go with most of my swimsuits (solid colors). This is basic and “grown up” looking. It’s perfect for keeping the sun off my shoulders and chest (where I burn and freckle the most) while I play in the sand and shallow water at the beach with my four kiddos. I’m hoping when I get it in the water and put it to the test of running around and lifting kids up and down that it won’t roll up or rip or snag easily. We will see.
My info: I’m 5’4 and 115 lbs. The small fits perfectly.
